Daughter of the White River (Est. 2022)

Based on the true crime novel by Denise White Parkinson, Daughter is a feature-length documentary-drama. One of vengeance and depression era treachery.

At the age of 17, Helen Spence avenged her father's murder inside the Arkansas County Courthouse. In so doing, Helen unleashed a chain of events that brought about her ultimate destruction inside Arkansas’s notorious Women's Prison aka “The Pea Farm.”

Through interviews and historical dramatizations, the film grapples with the deeply philosophical question...the deeply American question— what is the difference between a hero and a vigilante?
